MINERAL WELLS — Crash at convenience store
Steven Ken Howard, 49, of Mineral Wells, was arrested around 7 p.m. for driving without an inspection, an expired license plate, driving without insurance and defective brakes after a one-vehicle wreck at the convenience store in the 100 block of Municipal Highway 379.
Howard reportedly drove a white Ford pickup into the northwest corner of the building and the coin-operated air machine when his brakes stopped working as he approached the intersection of M.H. 379 and South Oak Avenue.
Several hours later, after bonding out of jail, Howard was arrested for public intoxication, police reported.
Four arrested at Baker
Four people were arrested on Baker Hotel property over the weekend, according to police.
Brittany Elizabeth Wade, 18, of Joshua, Nathaniel Ryan Mitchell, 19, of Crowley, Andrew Sadowski, 20, of Crowley, Brice Alan Rider, 20, of Crowley, were arrested for attempted criminal trespass, a class A misdemeanor, after police allegedly saw them crawling under the fence on the east side of the building.
Mineral Wells Police reported the following arrests:
• Jorge Antonio Hernandez Jr., 21, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on a Palo Pinto County warrant for a misdemeanor.
• Elias Jose Ruiz, 28, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday for driving without a license and insurance after being stopped for running a stop sign.
• Coy Don Glenn, 50, of Millsap, was arrested Thursday for public intoxication.
• David Allen Pena, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for assault causing bodily injury – family violence.
• William Harold Jones, 53, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for assault – family violence.
• Gary Ross Nickols, 56, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for failure to signal a turn and driving without insurance.
• Colton William Watson, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on 14 outstanding traffic warrants.
• Michael Bradley Scott, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for driving without a license.
• Jennifer Garza, 32, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for theft, more than $50, less than $500.
• Eric Manuel Cortez, 22, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces.
