Graford man arrested after pulling knife at restaurant


David Castro, 48, of Graford, was arrested just after midnight Saturday for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly pulled a pocket knife on a patron at a business in the 2500 block of East Hubbard Street, police said.

According to a report, Castro walked over and confronted two people who were talking loudly and displayed the blade of his knife while inside.

Police said they found two men confronting each other outside the business when they arrived.

Teen arrested

Julia Raven Alday, 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested on two counts of criminal mischief after allegedly damaging two vehicles in the 400 block of Shady Oak Circle.

A Dodge pickup was scratched around the entire vehicle and the back window was smashed, according to police.

The driver’s side of a black Pontiac was also keyed, police reported.

Burglaries

• A business in the 600 block of S.E. 1st Street had the front window broken out and computer equipment stolen sometime over the weekend, police said.

• An unlocked 1998 Chevrolet pickup in the 600 block of S.W. 19th Street was burglarized between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday and $350 was reported missing from a wallet.

• A 1995 Buick was reported broken into Sunday night or Monday morning in the 1200 block of N.W. 1st Street when the burglar slipped something between the window and seal, according to the police report. Two bottles of prescriptions pills were reported missing.

Arrests

Mineral Wells police also reported making the following arrests:

• Antonio Galindo, 41, of Palo Pinto, was arrested Friday on two traffic warrants.

• Holana Deanna Shaw-Simpson, 33, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for driving without a license and insurance and expired registration.

• William Harold Jones, 52, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for public intoxication.

• Kevin James Cupp, 39, of Fort Worth, was arrested Saturday on a warrant for speeding after being stopped and written tickets for speeding and driving without a license.

• David Wayne Lucas, 25, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for driving without a license and insurance.

• Jorge Retana Romero, 38, of Edmund, Okla., was arrested Sunday on an INS hold after a traffic stop.

• Michael Lee Vallance, 23, of Crowley, was arrested Sunday for driving with an invalid license, running a stop sign, driving without insurance, expired license plates, expired inspection and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Richard Joseph Hines, 25, of Graford, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for an improper turn.

• Clifton Joe Bolton, 28, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday on two warrants for running a stop sign.

• Nelson F. Flores, 25, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for public intoxication.

• Armando Taylor Vallesteros, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday on warrants for theft, less than $50, possession of tobacco by a minor, driving without a license, minor in consumption of alcohol and minor in possession of alcohol.

• Joseph Eugene Torice, 38, of Jacksboro, was arrested Monday on warrants for driving without insurance and a license.

• Jess David Tucker, 22, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday on warrants for assault causing bodily injury and criminal mischief for a May 27 incident where Tucker allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and damaged her property.
