According to Mineral Wells police reports, a local woman was hit by a vehicle Monday morning as she was standing near a curb in the 700 block of S.W. 16th Street.
Police said Sherry Schmidt, 51, was standing just off the curb around 7:15 a.m. when a 1990 Dodge Dynasty driven by Rae Ann Lee, 30, of Mineral Wells, approached traveling east.
According to the investigator's report, the right side and mirror of Lee's vehicle struck Schmidt.
Police stated Lee failed to see Schmidt, possibly because of frost on her windshield or the angle of the sun at that time of day.
Reports indicate Schmidt was transported to Palo Pinto General Hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries.
Lee and two juvenile passengers were not injured in the collision.
