Christmas parade entries sought

The annual Mineral Wells Merchants Association Community Parade is Saturday, Dec. 1.

If interested in entering a float go by Kwik Kar, 2104 E. Hubbard St., in Mineral Wells.

Each entry is required to follow the theme, “The Christmas Spirit.” Entries for the parade will be in four categories: church; commercial/manufacturing; civic and education. First, second, and third place will be awarded in each of the categories. Overall first place wins $100; second place, $75 and third place $50 Awards will be announced in the Index after the parade.

An official Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be provided by the parade committee. No other Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus will be permitted.
