MINERAL WELLS — Dianna LaCarol Henry, 41, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday for assault causing bodily injury to a disabled person after she allegedly attacked and severely injured a 48-year-old disabled man.
The man was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital by air for injuries after Henry allegedly gouged at his eyes and dislodged one of testicles during an argument.
Police said someone else at the house called police to report the bloody injuries and Henry was arrested at the scene.
Bond was set at $50,000 and Henry was reported in the Palo Pinto County Jail Friday morning.
John Peter Smith hospital confirmed the victim was still hospitalized Friday and in good condition.
Counterfeit bill
A fake $10 bill was reportedly found at a convenience store in the 1100 block of S.E. 1st Street around 9 a.m. Wednesday. The customer reportedly told police he’d received the counterfeit money as change the previous day.
Woman injured
A woman reported an domestic assault Thursday at a residence in the 800 block of S.E. 3rd Avenue. A man reportedly bit and punched her and attempted to stop her from making an emergency phone call, according to the police report. The woman showed bite marks on her face, arm and hand, police said.
Dogs impounded
Four loose dogs were reportedly impounded Wednesday morning from a residence in the 600 block of S.E. 22nd Street. One of the loose dogs reportedly dug into a neighboring yard and killed one dog and injured another.
Burglary
A resident in the 600 block of N.W. 8-½ Street reported 13 Seroquel pills stolen between 5 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. Thursday. According to the police report, a burglar may have entered through the kitchen window. Nothing else was missing or damaged, police said.
Arrests
Mineral Wells police reported the following arrests:
• Danny Lane Cerbeny Jr., 22, of Weatherford, was arrested Tuesday for possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Tiffany Cherie Valley, 27, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday for possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Marvin Antonio Eugene Burkett, 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday for driving without a license.
• Thomas Edgar Lee Jr., 26, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on an Upshur County warrant for theft of property, more than $50, less than $500.
• Bryan Ramsey Bramlett, 21, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on eight warrants.
• A 12-year-old boy was arrested Friday morning at Mineral Wells Junior High School for possession of hydrocodone. According to police, a teacher reportedly saw a girl give the boy money and the school resource officer allegedly found three pieces of a prescription pill on him.
