Mineral Wells police investigators have issued a Crime Stoppers alert for information on the Saturday burglary and criminal mischief at the Holiday Hills Country Club in the 4800 block of U.S. Highway 180 East.
According to investigators, the burglars broke a window of the pro shop building and gained access, stealing an undetermined amount of cash. The unknown individuals also took a couple of the golf carts joyriding, an official confirmed.
This is not the first time this month the country club’s been a victim of criminal mischief. Officials reported that on unknown persons broke into the facility and took the golf carts out on Sept. 6 for another joyride.
A Crime Stoppers alert was also issued for a residential burglary reported Saturday morning in the 100 block of Evergreen Drive. The burglars reportedly made entry through a window and stole several pieces of miscellaneous jewelry and approximately $50 in change.
Anyone with information regarding the burglary at Holiday Hills Country Club or the residential burglary on Evergreen Drive is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (940) 659-9904 or the Mineral Wells Police Department at (940) 328-7770. Persons with information that lead to an arrest and indictment are eligible for a reward up to $1,000. Information can be left anonymously.
Burglary
• 300 block of Sam Houston Street – A vehicle was reported burglarized Sunday morning with a Sirrus satellite receiver valued at $40 reported stolen.
Arrests
The Mineral Wells Police Department reported making the following arrests:
• Shawn Edward Allen, 17, of Weatherford, was arrested Saturday for no driver’s license and no insurance.
• Dustin James Arwood, 27, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on a MWPD warrant for dog at large.
• Hollie Denise Bellows, 27, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on a MWPD warrant for no insurance.
• Ashley Rachelle Bentley, 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for simple assault and assault by threat.
• Christopher Lloyd Glover, 23, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on a Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Office motion to revoke warrant.
• Stephanie Bradshaw Hawkins, 26, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.
• Steven Dale Johnson, 45, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for public intoxication.
• Christopher Lee Pruett, 29, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram in a drug-free zone.
• Jimmy Don Stell, 35, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on a MWPD warrant for failure to display driver’s license, a MWPD warrant for expired license plate, a MWPD warrant for no insurance, a MWPD warrant for expired inspection and a MWPD warrant for animal neglect.
• Derrick Scott Taylor, 23, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for no driver’s license, no insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
• Shaun Paul Torres, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday on a MWPD warrant for no driver’s license.
• Jennifer Marie Valley, 28, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for expired driver’s license.

PET OF THE WEEK: Catahoula mix looking for a new place to call home
“Capt. Jack” is a short hair, mixed-breed dog – mostly Catahoula leopard – with an intriguing red merle-patterned coat. This approximately 2-year-old, 55-pound male also has one blue eye and one brown eye. He will need to be fixed as part of his adoption.
