Mineral Wells police report recent burglary, arrests

Burglary

• 100 block of Evergreen Drive – A vehicle burglary was reported Tuesday afternoon with entry made into a 1998 Chevy Blazer through an unlocked passenger door. The burglar damaged the dashboard while attempting to remove the stereo.



Arrests

The Mineral Wells Police Department reported making the following arrests:

• Sharah Marie Atcheson, 26, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday on a MWPD warrant for no inspection and a MWPD warrant for no liability insurance.

• Kimberlie Masias Baker, 25, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on a MWPD warrant for speeding and a Haskell County warrant for theft by check.

• Christopher James Carey, 21, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday on a Palo Pinto County motion to revoke probation warrant for criminal mischief greater than $50 and les than $500.

• Lindsey Ellen Carey, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday for simple assault.

• Michael Thomas Slay, 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday for leaving the scene of an accident, no driver’s license, no insurance and failure to control speed.

• Tanner Dale Tally, 20, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday for no driver’s license, no insurance and running a red light.

• Thomas Villegas Trevino, 50, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on a parole violation warrant.

  • Man, woman arrested in drug bust at local bar

    Gary Ross Nickols, 56, of Mineral Wells, and Elise Nichole Dalton, 25, of Millsap, were arrested Tuesday around 2:30 p.m. at a bar in the 1600 block of South Oak after Mineral Wells police assisted the City-County Narcotics Unit, reportedly acting on information obtained by CCNU.

    Before Mineral Wells ISD's trustees were ready to vote Tuesday on the district's 2011 budget and tax rate, Board President Joe Ruelas repeatedly asked a room full of mostly empty chairs, “Does anybody in the public have any questions ... anyone?”

  • Man involved in bar fight ends up at hospital

    A man was transported to the hospital after a fight at a bar in the 2800 block of U.S. Highway 281 South around midnight Sunday, according to police, who provided backup to the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office on the call.
