• Matthew Albert Allen, 20, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Aug. 8 on an off-bond warrant and a capias pro fine warrant for criminal trespass.
• Charles David Beggs, 50, of Palo Pinto, was arrested Friday for assault causing bodily injury – family violence.
• Jim Shawn Bradley Jr., 19, of Strawn, was arrested Aug. 7 on a warrant for driving while intoxicated.
• Tony Marvin Carr, 45, of Perrin, was arrested Saturday for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
• James Michael Lee Chesnut, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday on a motion to adjudicate guilt warrant for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
• Jesus Manuel Elenes, 25, of Tucson, Ariz., was arrested Friday on a motion to revoke probation warrant for arson and a motion to revoke probation warrant for taking a weapon from an officer.
• Alan Ray Fambro, 52, of Strawn, was arrested Saturday for criminal mischief greater than or equal to $50 and less than $500.
• Lawrence Richard Garza, 38, of Bedford, was arrested Friday on a motion to revoke probation warrant for possession/transportation of chemicals with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance.
• Douglas Lee Green, 26, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Aug. 6 for public intoxication.
• Jamie Lee Long, 22, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for public intoxication and a motion to revoke probation warrant for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
• Juan Fransico Munoz, 19, of Fort Worth, was arrested Sunday on a Fort Worth warrant for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
• Charles Marvin Parks, 60, of Abilene, was arrested Aug. 7 on a Bexar County warrant for driving while license invalid.
• Kristy Richardson Rice, 33, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday on a warrant for engaging in organized criminal activity.
• Ronda Jean Rose, 43, of Graford, was arrested Sunday for assault causing bodily injury – family violence.
• Mary Ann Slay, 46, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for possession of a dangerous drug and failure to identify as a fugitive.
• Daisy Ann Stockard, 27, of Jacksboro, was arrested Tuesday on a failure to appear warrant, a warrant for theft by check greater than or equal to $20 and less than $500, a warrant for disregarding a red light and a Cooke County warrant for driving while license invalid.
• Shaun Paul Torres, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Aug. 7 on a warrant for assault causing bodily injury – family violence and a warrant for interfering with an emergency phone call.
• Lawrence R. Turk, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Aug. 6 on a warrant for theft by check greater than or equal to $20 and less than $500.
• Riggin Gideon Valley, 23, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday on a motion to revoke probation warrant for possession of a dangerous drug.
• Allen Scott Williams, 37, of Abilene, was arrested Aug. 7 for failure to identify – fugitive intentionally giving a false name, a Collin County warrant for theft greater than or equal to $1,500 and less than $20,000 and a Collin County warrant for theft of service greater than or equal to $20 and less than $500.

Man, woman arrested in drug bust at local bar
Gary Ross Nickols, 56, of Mineral Wells, and Elise Nichole Dalton, 25, of Millsap, were arrested Tuesday around 2:30 p.m. at a bar in the 1600 block of South Oak after Mineral Wells police assisted the City-County Narcotics Unit, reportedly acting on information obtained by CCNU.

Mineral Wells ISD trustees set 2011 budget, tax rate
Before Mineral Wells ISD's trustees were ready to vote Tuesday on the district's 2011 budget and tax rate, Board President Joe Ruelas repeatedly asked a room full of mostly empty chairs, “Does anybody in the public have any questions ... anyone?”

Womans Club's first fall meeting this Wednesday
The Womans Club of Mineral Wells will have its first fall meeting Wednesday at the Womans Club Building (old post office) starting at 11:30 a.m.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Palo Pinto County Soil and Water Conservation District invite the public and any agencies with an interest in conservation issues to participate in a local work group meeting Wednesday.

Man involved in bar fight ends up at hospital
A man was transported to the hospital after a fight at a bar in the 2800 block of U.S. Highway 281 South around midnight Sunday, according to police, who provided backup to the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office on the call.
