The Mineral Wells Chamber of Commerce predicts about 55 newspaper staffers and their families will be in town this week for the West Texas Press Association’s annual convention.
Chamber Executive Director Beth Henary Watson said she is especially excited to host employees of regional media sources.
“The chamber is actually a sponsor of this convention,” she said. “Media who come to our area are always so delighted by the attractions we have and the things to do, the scenery ... we’ve always enjoyed playing host to the media.”
