According to Mineral Wells police, locals have reported an assortment of property crimes over the past several days.
An unknown subject climbed over the perimeter fence surrounding a business in the 3800 block of U.S. Highway 180 East and broke into three vehicles parked on the property, police said.
The incident report filed Feb. 1 indicated the complainant was unable to determine what was missing from the vehicles.
Another Feb. 1 report details a landlord's dispute with a tenant over stolen and damaged property.
The complainant reported a washer and dryer, surround sound system, and computer monitor were taken from the home in the 500 block of N.W. 4th Street. The combined value of the missing items is $1,000.
In addition, the report indicated extensive property damage, including broken car windows and a busted television screen resulted in another $7,600 loss to the complainant.
Also on Feb. 1, police arrested Eduardo Cruz, 29, of Mineral Wells, on suspicion of organized retail theft.
Police said the theft was reported by a business in the 600 block of
Farm-to-Market Road 1821 after the suspect fled the retailer's loss prevention team.
Officers located the suspect's vehicle a short time later and recovered the stolen merchandise, police added.
Police investigated a burglary report Sunday in the 500 block of S.E. 1st Street. Reports show a handgun valued at $500, about $100 in cash, multiple tires, and a digital video recorder valued at $300 were among the items stolen in the burglary.
According to police, a suspect made entry through a bedroom window into a residence Monday in the 2900 block of N.E. 2nd Street.
A flat screen television, video gaming system and accessories, and a number of videos were taken from the home, police said.
An empty rental property in the 200 block of S.W. 15th Street was burglarized and vandalized, according to a report filed Monday.
The complainant told police a gas furnace and two window air conditioning units were missing and walls, doors and windows were damaged throughout the home.
The lost property and cost of repairs is estimated to be $1,250.
According to a vehicle burglary report filed Tuesday in the 1300 block of S.E. 20th Street, someone entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a tablet computer valued
at $200.
