The Salvation Army, Palo Pinto Service Unit, has been awarded a grant from TXU Energy to provide to the residence of Palo Pinto County with the following energy efficient products:
• CFL kits – each kit includes six CFL bulbs and a CFL Users Guide.
• Energy Efficiency kits – each kit includes easy-to-install weatherization and air filtration measures (i.e., caulking and weather-stripping, wall switch/outlet insulators, four CFLs, temperature gauges for hot water and refrigerator settings and energy efficiency tip books).
To be eligible, each client must be a TXU Energy customer and their income must be 200 percent or less of the federal poverty guidelines and/or qualified based on agency guidelines.
The products will be available free of charge starting Monday at the Salvation Army’s new office at 301 N.W. 1st Ave. Please bring your utility bill to verify you are a TXU client.
