Halloween going to the dawgs

At least three area Halloween events will help area animals and local rescue groups.

On Saturday, 3-8 p.m., IntegraCare will host the Boo Bash Family Fun festival at the Palo Pinto County Livestock Association Expo building in Mineral Wells.

While it primarily benefits Meals on Wheels of Palo Pinto County, the event will include a pet adoption featuring Palo Pinto County Humane Society and Community Animal Rescue Effort pets looking for forever homes.

In addition, there will be a costume contest for pets. All pet contestants must be in a carrier or on a leash.
