Area under Stage 2 water conservation plan
Outdoor water use restrictions went into effect Monday for Mineral Wells-area water customers as officials try to deal with steadily falling water levels at Lake Palo Pinto, the city's lone water source.
Residents and businesses are asked to comply with the following once-a-week outdoor watering schedule until further notice:
Last digit of street address
Day of the week:
• 0 or 8 – Monday.
• 1 or 9 – Tuesday.
• 2 or 6 – Wednesday.
• 3 or 7 – Thursday.
• 4 or 5 – Friday.
• No outdoor water use on weekends.
This includes water users not only in Mineral Wells, but customers of other area water supply corporations that purchase water from Municipal Water District No. 1 and Lake Palo Pinto such as Palo Pinto WSC, North Rural and Sturdivant-Progress.
Violations in the City of Mineral Wells are misdemeanor offenses under city code and punishable by a fine of up to $500 per day. Repeat violators could face termination of water service.
