Chief Robert Manskey, son of Bob and Gayle Manskey, of Mineral Wells, is deploying aboard the USNS Mercy, one of the nation’s premier hospital ships, to the Southeast Pacific in support of Pacific Partnership 2012.
Pacific Partnership 2012 is an annual humanitarian assistance mission, lasting about six months and created in response to the tsunami that killed more than 200,000 people in 2004. The mission is carried out by the U.S. Navy and the Merchant Marines, in addition to the Department of State, USAID, NOAA, the other branches of the military and other Non-Governmental Organizations.
