Earl Clark's love of music and desire to be a performer began early in life, at precisely the same moment as many in his generation.
"In February of 1964, I was 12 years old and my mom and I were at my aunt's house there on Morningside [Drive] ... and Ed Sullivan was on and a band came on that I had never heard before called The Beatles," he recalled.
It took him just a few seconds of hearing that revolutionary style of music before he decided he wanted to be a musician.
"Hearing the girls scream didn't hurt either," he said.
