PERRIN – The Perrin FFA is proud to report on the accomplishments of its members from the month of November.
The District Leadership Development Event Contest was held Nov. 14, and the following teams advanced to area: Greenhand and Senior Chapter Conducting placed first; Greenhand and Senior Quiz placed first and second, respectively; and. Greenhand Creed Speaking placed first.
The Area Leadership Development Event Contest was held at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, on Nov. 19. Senior Chapter Conducting placed fourth and Senior Quiz placed seventh. Greenhand Creed Speaking, Chapter Conducting and Quiz all placed second and advanced to the state contest at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, on Dec. 2-3. Eric Hall, Creed Speaker, placed 10th in his heat.
Eric Hall, Katie Blakeley, Lily Hodges, Kali Parker, Casey Cannon, Leslie Burwell, Meggan Jump and Creede Lee were members of the Chapter Conducting team that placed seventh in their heat and Casey Cannon, Lily Hodges, Meggan Jump and Kali Parker of the Quiz team placed 15th.
The district banquet honoring these members as well as the other teams in the districis Thursday in Olney, Texas. Forest Francis of Perrin FFA is currently serving as district president and will be the banquet's master of ceremonies.
On Nov. 28, Jack County held rabbit validation. Perrin FFA validated 13 rabbits. Swine validation was held Nov. 29 and the chapter validated 32 swine. The Perrin Community Club Stock Show is this Saturday at 2 p.m. All Perrin FFA and 4-H members are encouraged to attend. Rabbits, lambs, goats, cattle, and swine will be exhibited. We welcome our Judge Shelby Armstrong from Portland, Ore. The Jack County Youth Fair is just around the corner on Jan. 4-7.
Fruit orders from River Star farms will arrive the week of Dec. 12t Also, Horticulture classes are busy working with the incoming plants that are being grown for our spring sales.

Ram Theater to offer one last public performance of 'The Beggar's Opera'
“The Beggar’s Opera” cast and crew will perform one last show together Monday 7 p.m. for the community. The show takes place in the MWHS auditorium.

MWHS students advanced to UIL regional competition
In addition to the MWHS One-Act Play troupe, a company of 19 students competed in the regional academic UIL contest in Lubbock.
