MINERAL WELLS — An orientation was held Aug. 10 for 25 new Mineral Wells ISD teachers in the District Services board room under the direction of Assistant Superintendent Linda Porter-Bradford. Teachers were introduced to district policies and procedures necessary for success with the district. Local Texas Classroom Teachers Association members sponsored a luncheon for the new teachers. Dads, father figures taking part in Houston's WATCH D.O.G.S. program
According to Tymmie Boyd, Houston Elementary School counselor, approximately 350 dads or other father figures and students attended a kick off pizza party to begin a new national program called WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) on Jan. 19.
