During the months of November and December, Mineral Wells Junior High will be participating in the Scholastic Book Club’s Fourth Annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive, benefitting the Pajama Program, a nonprofit organization that provides new pajamas and books to children in need – especially those living in group homes, shelters, foster care and orphanages. This year the program is targeting the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Pajamas must be brand new. All sizes are needed, from newborn to adult.
Pajamas must be in complete sets or nightgowns. Pajamas in children’s sizes must be manufactured as pajamas – this ensures that they are flame-retardant and safe. If 100 or more pair of pajamas are collected, junior high students will get to have Pajama Day on Dec. 21. For more information contact Beth Henderson, Mineral Wells Junior High Library, at (940) 325-0711, ext. 7003.
