The Mineral Wells Junior High School choir and band entertained the audience during the recent second six awards assembly program at the school.
You Make My Day Awards- Mineral Wells Junior eighth grader Keaton Evans and seventh grader Jessica Martinez were honored with the ‘You Make My Day’ awards for the second six weeks. This award is given every six weeks by the teachers. They are nominated because of their great attitude, helpfulness, and kindness to others. In this small way, the school is attempting to say “thank you” for the way you go out of you way to make others know that you care. Those who work with Keaton said, “If he sees someone struggling or needing help, he doesn’t wait for them to ask for help, he volunteers. He is also polite and always has a smile.” Martinez’ teachers said she is wonderful to have in class. Not only is she a good student but she is always polite and kind to others.

8th Grade Students Making 95 and Above The following eighth-grade students made 95 and above the second six weeks grading period. They are listed in alphabetical order, rather than by rank. “Excellence for All” is the theme for Mineral Wells Junior High this school year. We are well on our way to fulfilling these expectations.

There were 238 students eligible to be honored the second six weeks. One hundred twenty-two of the students were seventh graders of which 54 are enrolled in Pre-AP classes. Thirty-nine seventh-grade students made 95 and above.

The eighth grade had 116 students eligible for second six weeks academic honors. Fifty-four of those students are enrolled in Pre-AP classes, and 32 eighth-grade students made 95 and above.
