Travis Elementary fifth grade student Kylie Reeves, of Mrs. Strandberg’s art class, won the 2011-12 Arbor Day poster competition. Clark Gardens Botanical Park holds this local contest in partnership with the Texas Forest Service Arbor Day Celebration.
Kylie’s poster was based on the theme “Trees are Terrific…from Acorn to Oak.”
Kylie won a free year's family membership to Clark Gardens, a tree planted in her honor at Travis Elementary and her poster advances to state competition.
