PERRIN –The snow that recently fell lwas really beautiful. I didn’t get out of the house, got everything done early so there was no reason to get out in the weather. The snow is still around in the shady places.
The weathermen are predicting more cold days ahead. That sounds about right since the Jack County Stock Show is this weekend. They usually have to contend with bad weather during the show.
There will be a wedding shower in honor of Ashley Francis, daughter of Renee and Eddie Francis, and Cody Murray, son of Paulette and Jim Murray (all of Perrin), on Sunday, Jan. 10. Come and go from 2-4 p.m. at the Perrin Advent Christian Church. Everyone is invited. The couple will wed Saturday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Perrin Baptist church. They are registered at Walmart, Home Depot and Lowe’s. Paulette said they tried to select that they needed queen sized sheets, but it kept showing twin size. Hope they got that straightened out!
My great-granddaughter, Jo Ann, called real excited on Christmas day. She got a new bike for Christmas and was enjoying riding it in the snow. She went back to school on Monday and I think she was anxious to get back.
I’ve read a lot about the blue moon, but the moon wasn’t really blue on Dec. 31, it was just the second time in the month of December that we had a full moon. The first was on Dec. 2.
Talked with Claude Renfro the other day and he has been busy with baby goats. He said his big guard dog which stays with the goats surprised him the other day by picking one of the baby goats up and carrying it to Claude in the barn. Claude’s been under the weather lately and his son, Ray, is going to take him to see a doctor this week.
Just heard that Ina Jo Lee has been having some problems with diverticulitis and is in the Weatherford hospital. Our best to her and hope she’ll soon be home, without having to have surgery.
I’m still having trouble walking and have fallen several times. Like everyone else, I’ve got some congestion going on, too. Hope to go to the doctor later this week, if the weather doesn’t prevent it.
