In business since June 1, 1987, Double H Tire owner Todd Hamilton said the family-owned shop's success is attributable to scores of repeat customers over the years.
He explained his family has been in the tire business his entire life. His father, Leroy, managed Hamilton Tire locations in Weatherford and Mineral Wells, both also owned by members of his family, prior to opening Double H.
Todd Hamilton said the store has always been a family affair, opened by his mother, Betty, Leroy and himself. Double H has been located at its current location, 316 E. Hubbard St., since 1988.
"It's a little melancholy for me today," he said, explaining Leroy and Betty have passed away in recent years.
