First Financial Bankshares marks 25th consecutive year of earnings growth
ABILENE (PRNewswire) – First Financial Bankshares Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIN) on Thursday reported earnings for the fourth quarter of 2011 of $17.47 million, up 12.6 percent compared with earnings of $15.52 million in the same quarter last year.

Texas jobless rate below 8%

AUSTIN — Texas’ seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent in December, down from 8.1 percent in November and down from 8.3 percent in December 2010. The Texas Civilian Labor Force grew by more than 17,000 individuals in December, and now stands at more than 12.3 million Texans.
