MWISD elementary students with perfect attendance have a chance to win a shiny new bicycle each six weeks thanks to donations from Phil Luker of Phil Luker State Farm Insurance. Luker accepted Partner in Education honors at Tuesday’s school board meeting. Pictured with him are MWISD elementary principals Kelly Wilkerson (Houston), Parisa Lerma (Lamar) and Natalie Griffin (Travis). Luker said that he gave out 38 bikes last year to elementary students in MWISD, Palo Pinto, Perrin, Gordon and Strawn.
