Nefeterius Akili McPherson received a liver from Martinsburg’s Taitlyn Shae Hughes after she died on Nov. 4, 2011, of a brain hemorrhage. Taitlyn, 12 at the time of her death, was a West Virginia University fan, and McPherson wore her shirt at last Saturday’s WVU-Texas game in Austin.
